Foth is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Electrical Power Engineer who is eager to learn and grow while significantly contributing to our clients' success. This role can be performed from our Green Bay, Wisconsin; Madison, Wisconsin; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Chicago, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota offices, or from a US-Based Remote work location. Primary Responsibilities: Gather field data and conduct investigations directly in industrial/manufacturing environments as needed for project work. Provide technical design support for electrical systems on industrial projects, spanning medium (up to 15 kV) and low voltage (up to 600 VAC) power distribution. Perform comprehensive power systems analysis, including short circuit, load flow, overcurrent coordination, arc flash analysis, power factor, grounding systems, and harmonics. Design power distribution systems for machines and processes, including electrical and grounding systems, and oversee installations effectively. Lead the creation and management of project-related documentation, schedules, and cost estimates. Oversee the QA/QC of design packages and provide stamping where required. Direct design initiatives, delegate tasks appropriately, and ensure accountability among team members. Collaborate seamlessly as part of a project team, connecting with partner contractors and clients. Conduct design reviews with clients and internal teams to ensure project alignment. Develop and write comprehensive proposals that detail concepts, scopes of work, deliverables, effort hours, and estimated costs. Be prepared to travel for work as required, up to 25% annually. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems option preferred) or equivalent technical experience. 10+ years of design and analysis experience in industrial electrical systems. 5+ years of experience working with medium voltage (up to 15 kV) and low voltage (up to 600 VAC) systems, including utilities, substations, switchgear, transformers, grounding systems, and metering. Must possess a Professional Engineer license. Required Experience With: Performing electrical power analysis using software tools like SKM, Easypower to assess short circuit currents, protective device coordination, load studies, and arc flash prevention. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and related standards (NFPA 70, 70B, 70E, 79 and IEEE color books). Preferred Qualifications: 15+ years of relevant industry experience. Experience in hazardous area classification and its power implications. Preferred Experience With: Facilities' electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, power, communications, security, fire systems, and emergency/standby power solutions. Project management capabilities. Knowledge of lightning suppression techniques. Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical. Familiarity with motor controls for low & medium voltage systems, including VFDs and power distribution units. Compensation for this role ranges from $110,000 to $150,000 per year, and may vary based on factors such as experience, location, and qualifications.
