This role involves night shifts focused on daily rounding on all inpatients, managing new consults, and facilitating patient discharges, typically overseeing a total patient census of 20-30.Responsibilities and DutiesDaily rounding on all inpatients (ICU, stepdown) and new consults, as well as discharging patients.Manage an average daily patient load of 10-15, with a total patient census typically ranging from 20-30.Address cardiac cases including all adult cardiac surgeries (CAB, valves, aortic dissections, etc), often involving high-acuity patients.Handle thoracic cases, primarily robotic surgeries, VATs, and thoracotomies; includes all thoracic surgeries except esophageal.Manage vascular cases, encompassing all types of open vascular surgeries (CEA, AAA, leg revascularizations, etc).Care for heart failure patients, including those with LVAD, ECMO, and impellas.Focus on critical care only, without first assist responsibilities.Additional InformationEMR: CernerShift hours: 7 PM - 7 AMBenefitsStrong compensationTravel-related expenses coveredA-rated medical malpractice insurance providedDedicated recruiter for future travel opportunitiesWhat are Locum Tenens Jobs?Locum tenens jobs, sometimes referred to as travel assignments, are contract positions that help meet patient care needs at various healthcare facilities and hospitals for a defined period.
