Underground Utility Locator

Job Title: Underground Utility Locator Work Location: Atlanta, GA Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview Duties/Responsibilities: Safely and accurately locate underground utilities such as telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, and water. Conduct thorough searches in designated areas, marking utility locations clearly and completing documentation along with photographic evidence. Interpret utility plans, profiles, cross sections, and records effectively. Gather data and create detailed field sketches for reporting purposes. Participate in various departmental projects as needed. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of experience in utility locating or designating with various types of locating devices. Experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is a plus. Must have experience working with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record are required. Physical Requirements: Must be physically mobile in and around construction sites and be willing to perform field assignments. Ability to carry necessary instruments and equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other regulations, including meeting productivity standards.
