Requisition ID: 43036BR Business Unit: NAU Job Description: CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager to enhance our South Carolina operations. If you excel in client interactions and have a proven track record in managing multi-discipline teams for water and wastewater projects, we want to hear from you! In this role, you'll take charge of multi-million dollar planning and design projects, manage project teams, and develop scopes and budgets. You will collaborate with local sales staff to explore business development strategies tailored for existing and new clients. Drawing on over 30 years of service in South Carolina, our expertise spans modeling, master planning studies, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities. Your contributions will include: Managing design, permitting, and construction services for water/wastewater projects from idea to execution. Leading project teams and mentoring junior staff, ensuring effective coordination and review of assignments. Interfacing with technical specialists and project members to deliver outstanding results. Preparing and supervising design drawings and specifications for complex multi-discipline projects. Overseeing project budgets and timelines, while effectively managing risk. Engaging in high-level planning and program analysis, and producing technical documents/reports. Staying active in the water/wastewater industry to keep up with emerging technologies and opportunities. Contributing to new business development through strategic planning and marketing initiatives. Collaborating with sales staff to create compelling proposals in response to client RFPs. Ensuring all proposals comply with firm and regulatory standards. Communicating effectively with clients and government officials to clarify technical issues and provide updates to management. Job Site Location: South Carolina - Columbia Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. 10 years of related experience. PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire. Equivalent additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering. Professional engineering (PE) license. Project management experience on water/wastewater projects in South Carolina. Experience with alternative project delivery methods.
