The Role We are excited to welcome a Senior Product Manager to spearhead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Datavant's newly established Legal & Insurance vertical. This vertical is focused on simplifying the medical record retrieval process and providing outstanding services to attorneys, copy services, and insurance requesters. In this role, you will: Define and develop the long-term product vision and strategy for the Legal & Insurance vertical. Collaborate with engineering, data science, operations, and design teams to build this business line from the ground up. Shape the workflows, data models, and platform logic necessary for creating scalable and compliant solutions. Partner with executive leadership to set priorities, guide investments, and ensure cross-functional alignment. Utilize advanced AI technology to innovate solutions in data-focused environments. Act as a thought leader and mentor, enhancing the product management capabilities within Datavant. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will shape strategy and vision while managing execution details for successful product launches. This position offers a unique opportunity to establish a new vertical at Datavant, perfect for a Principal-level PM who excels in ambiguous environments, clarifies complexities, and enjoys building at the intersection of healthcare, legal, and insurance data. What You'll Bring 8-12+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of leading complex, enterprise-grade, data-centric products. A proven ability to define product strategy and influence company direction, extending beyond basic roadmaps. Experience with data exchange, retrieval, or healthcare data products; familiarity with legal, insurance, or medical record retrieval is a plus. Comfort in designing products for regulated, high-stakes environments, balancing compliance with user experience considerations. Adept at simplifying complexity and influencing executives, technical leaders, and non-technical stakeholders. A record of mentoring other PMs and enhancing product quality and impact. A collaborative team player with a self-starter mentality who thrives in uncertainty, learns quickly, and executes diligently. A strategic thinker who can effortlessly transition between vision and execution, skillfully balancing long-term strategy with hands-on product delivery. Our total rewards strategy is designed to support a high-growth, high-performance health technology company that recognizes our employees' contributions in pioneering data logistics products and services within the healthcare sector. The estimated total cash compensation for this position ranges from $193,000 to $242,000 USD.
