In collaboration with the Director of Development and the Development Team, the Marketing Specialist plans, implements, and evaluates all marketing and communications initiatives for The Neighborhood Academy to ensure consistent institutional branding, voice, and mission-aligned messaging that supports fundraising, enrollment, and community engagement. As with all positions at The Neighborhood Academy, the Specialist is expected to actively support and advance the School’s mission and vision. NATURE AND SCOPE Marketing and Communications Plan and manage the production of the spring and fall newsletters and the annual report, including copywriting and editing, photography selection, videos where needed, collaboration with designers,, oversight of printing, and management of mailing and distribution Design and produce a wide range of print and digital marketing materials, including admissions brochures, flyers, invitations, postcards, videos, and other collateral as needed Collaborate with the Development Team to provide input on mailing strategy, list segmentation, and audience targeting to support donor engagement and campaign effectiveness. Lead all social media and digital communications to strengthen awareness, engagement, and trust among donors, families, and community partners by:: Developing and managing a comprehensive content calendar Creating, scheduling, and publishing content across all platforms Monitoring analytics, engagement, and trends to inform strategy and improve reach and effectiveness. Coordinate digital communications, including email campaigns and online promotions in support of admissions, advancement, fundraising, and school-wide initiatives Partner with the Director of Admissions to create and deliver marketing materials for open houses, campus visits, recruitment events, and enrollment initiatives that reflect the School’s mission and value proposition. Maintain inventory and ordering of marketing and office supplies, including envelopes, stationery, stamps, and business cards, ensuring consistency and cost awareness. Manage the design and ordering of school spirit wear and branded merchandise, working with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure quality control and consistency in logo use and brand messaging KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: o Self-starting, highly motivated, take-charge abilities with strong follow-through.. o Empathetic, relationship-oriented professional who understands the importance of trust-building with donors, families, and community stakeholders. o Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills. o Adaptable, flexible, teachable. o Open to new ideas and able to strategize and think creatively o Self-starting, highly motivated. o Working knowledge of development and fundraising strategies, including donor communications and stewardship. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS: o Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public administration or related field. o Minimum of three years’ experience in marketing and communications o Federal FBI & Pennsylvania Criminal Background & Child Abuse Clearances o High level of computer literacy with knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Raiser’s Edge preferred.
