We are excited to announce that 16 Park Apartments will undergo new ownership with SHP Management taking the reins for property management in January 2026! These apartments will be renovated and will require lease-up assistance. Join our team for potential incentive bonuses, referral bonuses, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus! Housing opportunities may also be available. POSITION SUMMARY The Property Management Assistant plays a crucial role in providing administrative support, including answering phones, greeting tenants and visitors, data entry, filing, and preparing reports. This position reports directly to the Property Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting the Property Manager with the eviction process as necessary and approved. Collecting and recording rent payments, and following up on any delinquencies. Helping in the preparation of specifications and obtaining bids from contractors for necessary work, as approved. Completing and maintaining records and reports required by the main office or state agency. Coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs promptly. Conducting annual unit inspections and assisting with any required inspections from state agencies or third parties. Addressing tenant complaints and ensuring timely follow-up. Managing all clerical duties associated with the position. QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS & ABILITIES High School diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience in an administrative role. Experience with project-based Section 8 or tax credit programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software such as Real Page or YARDI is required. Responsible and accountable with a strong sense of dependability. Ability to organize tasks and complete work within deadlines. Consistent work pace while producing quality results. PHYSICAL ABILITIES Requirements include: - Lifting and carrying up to 12 lbs. frequently. - Walking with loads of 11-20 lbs. frequently. - Sitting with loads of 21-50 lbs. occasionally. - Handling and fingering loads up to 100 lbs. frequently. - Bending and squatting are required more than 66% of the time.
