Position Summary We are seeking a talented Echocardiography Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform high-quality echocardiographic procedures in a respectful and efficient manner, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients. Position Requirements Education: Completion of an accredited Echocardiography program and registration or eligibility in Echocardiography is required. Proficiency in TEE studies, stress echo studies, and contrast use is essential. BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire. Experience: A minimum of two years of related work experience after graduation. Training: Specific equipment training will be provided at Williamson Health. Physical Demands: The technician must be capable of operating equipment, assisting patients, and performing various physical tasks including lifting up to 20 pounds. Performance Standards Verify patient identification and physician orders before proceeding with procedures. Identify abnormal studies and communicate findings appropriately. Utilize downtime effectively by assisting in other areas. Accurately record all relevant measurements and findings. Assist cardiologists during TEE and cardioversion procedures. Exhibit leadership in challenging situations while making sound decisions. Offer support for overtime and fill-in opportunities as needed. Consistently perform high-quality echocardiography studies following established protocols. Maintain clear communication with colleagues regarding patient requests. Provide portable studies when necessary for patient care. Apply knowledge of anatomy and disease processes to accurately report findings to cardiologists. Respond promptly when on call.
