Heart disease is a major health risk and a leading cause of mortality in the U.S. Your role is essential to ensure that cardiac patients receive this crucial, life-saving therapy. The LifeVest® has been worn by hundreds of thousands of patients, saving countless lives. Preferred Candidates Include (but are not limited to): RN, EMT, Paramedic, EMS, Firefighter, PA, LPN, MA, Phlebotomy, RCIS, CVT, EKG Technician, etc. All candidates will be evaluated individually. Role Overview: As a Patient Care Trainer, you will independently train patients on the proper use and care of the LifeVest®. This device is critical for patients at risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), providing peace of mind while they carry out their daily activities. This position is perfect for healthcare professionals seeking to supplement their income through part-time work. You will typically interact with patients in hospitals, offering training and support prior to discharge. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with caregivers and families to schedule training sessions. Be adaptable in accepting assignments, which may occur during the day, evenings, or weekends. Travel to patient homes and healthcare facilities to conduct training and support. Educate patients and caregivers on the proper usage of the LifeVest®. Program the LifeVest® according to the prescribing physician's instructions. Take measurements to ensure correct garment sizing. Complete and ensure all necessary documentation is signed by the patient. Submit signed agreements to ZOLL within 24 hours of service delivery. Manage inventory of devices and garments. Declare any family relationships with potential referral sources. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience in a professional setting (not as a family caregiver). Experience must be documented on your resume. Completion of a background check is required. Florida and Ohio candidates must undergo a level 2 screening (fees not covered by ZOLL). Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable). Possess a valid driver's license and car insurance or a valid state ID. Willingness to pay a $30 annual DME fee, deducted from completed work orders. Willingness to cover any necessary vendor credentialing costs (e.g., RepTrax) as required.
