As a Linux OS expert on our dynamic team, you will play a key role in creating a cloud service that enhances collaboration between various development and operations teams. This role requires a self-driven individual committed to evolving our service with new features and optimizations over time. You will need a deep understanding of various technical aspects as the service will involve hardware, OS, cloud, and security. The ideal candidate will possess: Technical expertise in Linux OS and security features, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines, along with a grasp of high-level design. The ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a proactive curiosity to explore and resolve complex issues. As part of our global team, you will: Design robust architectures and develop new services that function reliably at a massive scale. Implement essential capabilities ranging from OS-level configurations and OS agents to deployment pipelines. Be technically adept and efficient; balancing speed and quality with a focus on iterative improvements. Promote operational excellence and foster a proactive culture within the team. Propose and justify significant changes to new and existing products, establishing consensus through data-driven methodologies. Qualifications BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development at the Linux OS level (including agents, plugins, and daemons). Proficiency with Linux distributions, preferably Debian, along with tools such as GitHub, Terraform, and Ansible. Experience in Linux security and compliance. Skill in building and packaging software components. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, C, Java, and Bash. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. A positive, solution-oriented attitude when tackling complex challenges. Ability to work collaboratively with team members at all skill levels, while being willing to support others when necessary.
