Abbott Diagnostics LAC is seeking an Area Finance Manager to lead Area Consolidation, margin and profitability tracking, and provide direct financial support to Brazil, Canada, and Colombia. Based in Lake Forest, IL, this role drives key planning cycles and delivers the analytics and insights needed for informed decision-making across the Area . What We Need A strong finance professional with analytical depth, strategic mindset, and the ability to influence leaders and partner across countries. What You’ll Work On: Manage Area month-end close and financial reporting, including preliminary review, topside consolidation entries, and monthly metrics/commentary. Maintain an efficient planning process with a clear calendar, key dates, and deliverables for Area and Commercial partners. Collect, validate, and analyze data from countries/regions, ensuring accuracy and insight into local business drivers. Serve as Area Finance lead and primary country liaison; facilitate weekly touchpoints and provide market, customer, and performance insight. Partner with the Pricing Team to lead margin improvement tracking, savings validation, and E/P and customer profitability analysis. Deliver timely, high-quality financial outputs that support senior management review and decision‑making. Support special projects with the Area Controller, Finance Director, BU Controllers, and Commercial leaders; drive process improvements. Lead financial consolidation and oversight of monthly CMR files, ensuring alignment with Commercial Excellence and clear communication to country teams. Ensure adherence to Abbott Quality System requirements. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Experience: Drive month‑end close, forecasting, and financial consolidation Deliver insights that shape short‑ and long‑term business decisions Partner with cross-functional and country teams to elevate performance Lead process improvements across planning and reporting Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Requires at least 7 years of relevant and progressive experience in Finance and Accounting. Must be able to interact with and support senior level management and to work effectively and independently cross-functionally and cross-divisionally with various organizations Must have sound financial analysis and dynamic modeling skills; Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills; must possess critical thinking.
