LIFEGUARD - Shepherdsville Aquatic CenterSAC SFM, LLCLOCATION: Shepherdsville, KYDEPARTMENT: AQUATICSREPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGERSTATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT) ABOUT THE COMPANY:Shepherdsville Aquatic Center is a premier sport, recreation and entertainment destination focused on improving the health and economic vitality of Shepherdsville, KY. The center will have an indoor competition pool for swim lessons, aquatic programming, and a home for local swim teams. It will also feature indoor pickleball courts and an outdoor water park with water slides. Set to open in Summer 2026, the position would start in early 2026. We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Lifeguard will be responsible for the safety of all guests in and near the pool, slide, and play areas.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Enforcing all pool rulesPreventing injuries and minimizing hazardous situationsProviding patron surveillance whenever a patron is swimmingHandling all injuries, accidents, and emergency situations as they arise (contact Senior Lifeguard for any assistance)Instruct various ages in swimming, water safety, and other aquatic programmingCompleting assigned cleaning dutiesAttending in-service training as scheduledProvide courteous and friendly first-in-class guest serviceGreet guests and provide information and way finding as neededOperate ticket sales booth and handle cash Learn and maintain knowledge about facility programs (format, pricing, meeting dates/times) Be knowledgeable of and enforce venue policies and procedures Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and Team Member information Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate manager Maintain a clean space and perform regular walk-throughs (indoor/outdoor) to ensure venue cleanlinessSupervise and enforce rules during eventsAttending in-service training as scheduledComplete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current certification in Deep Water Lifeguard Training by the American Red Cross and First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards or able to complete training and earn certification within 30 days of hireStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work well with othersMust be at least 16 years of age or older WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will frequently be required to walk, swim, sit Will be required to use hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsWill be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlWill occasionally lift, pull, push and/or move heavy itemsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focusMay work in outside weather conditions and be exposed to outside temperatures ranging from 80-105 degreesMinimal duties are performed in direct sunlight and will be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditionsExposure to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution
