As the Director of Data Strategy, you will play a crucial role in shaping Bausch + Lomb's evolution into a data-driven organization. This influential leadership position requires you to leverage data as a key asset and promote best practices in data acquisition, management, analytics, and governance. You will work closely with IT, business partners, analytics teams, compliance, and legal departments to support initiatives in AI, machine learning, automation, and advanced analytics. Key Responsibilities: Lead the enhancement of data acquisition strategies and integrate key data sources including IQVIA, IRI/Circana, sales, and consumer promotion data. Oversee the design and architecture of data lakes and warehouses, focusing on feature engineering to support analytics. Drive improvements in data product management while addressing gaps in stewardship, master data management (MDM), and governance. Ensure timely access to accurate data for analytics teams to support strategic initiatives such as MarTech and Market Mix Modeling. Manage third-party data access agreements, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. Serve as the lead for MDM projects, developing capabilities to improve data management. Build strong relationships with IT, business stakeholders, analytics teams, compliance, and legal departments. Facilitate cross-functional Data Governance Council meetings to address data issues, define metrics, and establish policies. Establish rules for data values, structures, and user access, optimizing SOPs for data stewardship. Champion change management and effective communication strategies for information management initiatives. Implement industry best practices to elevate customer data management. Provide hands-on leadership in AI, ML Ops, and data product engineering to enhance enterprise analytics and automation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, data science, or a related field preferred. 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, MedTech, or consumer health sectors. 6+ years of proven experience managing data projects, focusing on master data, metadata, and reporting. In-depth knowledge of IQVIA, IRI/Circana, consumer promotion data, MDM, CDP, and Snowflake. Extensive experience in data product management, acquisition, governance, and contracting. Hands-on experience with AI, ML Ops, and data product engineering, including the operationalization of machine learning models. Strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in sales operations and team management across therapeutic areas. Proficient in streamlining processes and data integration. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and data analysis. Strong interpersonal abilities with a commitment to leadership, integrity, flexibility, and efficiency. Knowledgeable in information lifecycle policies and procedures, including record management and information systems operations. The starting pay for this role ranges from $185,000.00 to $225,000.00, reflecting an anticipated range. Actual salary may vary based on multiple factors.
