SMX is seeking a talented Power Platform Solutions Developer to support the Secretary of the Air Force / Office of Competitive Activities (SAF/OC), Business Operations. If you have proficiency in developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform products, including Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you will engage with program management, senior leadership, and various support organizations to create and maintain business applications, reports, and workflows using Power Platform solutions. You'll play a crucial role in all aspects of technology delivery, from gathering requirements to solution design, development, testing, and support. The ideal candidate will be proactive in problem-solving, identifying opportunities, and utilizing technology to achieve measurable improvements. You should possess an analytical mindset, be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and be eager to expand your skill set as new technologies arise. A typical day will involve understanding client business needs, outlining solutions, developing these solutions using Power Platform products, and leading training sessions for stakeholders. This position requires a public trust clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship for work on DoD contracts. Application Deadline: March 16, 2026 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Transform business requirements into well-architected solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. Collaborate with SMEs and domain experts to fully understand business needs and requirements. Develop and support custom solutions and interfaces using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and RPA. Design end-to-end solutions that enhance collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing using low and no-code solutions. Utilize connectors, design Power BI reports and dashboards, build Power Apps and portals, and leverage Power Automate for business process flows. Design and create database models. Participate or lead technical design sessions to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements that meet client needs. Embed Power Platform components into Teams, SharePoint, web applications, and more. Address and mitigate security vulnerability findings in Power Platform. Install and configure data gateways. Conduct unit testing and resolve issues promptly. Document and convey solutions through flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, user guides, and more. Show creativity, enthusiasm, and initiative in delivering new approaches to solutions. Required Skills/Experience: 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform products. Strong fluency in Canvas Apps, Dataverse, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, RPA, Cloud, and Data Flows, and Power BI. BS Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Platform components, including their structure, relationships, and usage. Experience with model-driven apps in Power Apps, comprising design, build, and customization, along with basic data modeling and database design knowledge. Familiarity with low-code/no-code development principles. Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions using Power Platform tools. Experience in building and maintaining documentation, frameworks, and strategies related to Power Platform products. Background in data warehouse design (dimensional modeling) and data mining. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment. Aptitude for client collaboration and delivering quality outcomes. Ability to educate non-technical individuals on Power Platform products. Strong presentation skills and comfort in engaging audiences of varying sizes. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Desired Skills/Experience: Power Platform Fundamentals Certification.
