Pay Starting at $17.00/Hour Responsibilities:Maintaining constant vigilance and supervision of guests in Hurricane Harbor water parkRecognizing and managing aquatic emergencies by utilizing skills taught by Ellis & Associates ILTPAssisting guests with questions concerning rides, directions, and policiesRemaining at a "Test Ready" skill level at all timesAdhering to all policies, practices, and procedures outlined in the Ellis & Associates ILTP programAdhering to bio-hazardous waste disposal procedures, and perform all related duties in compliance with fecal matter exposure policyAttending weekly-scheduled in-service training sessionsAssisting in other areas of the Aquatics DepartmentEnforcing all Six Flags New England policiesPerforming all other incidental and related duties as required and assigned Qualifications:At least 16 years oldMust successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Special Facilities lifeguard course and once completed, may work in any lifeguard capacity within Hurricane HarborMust be able to swim 200 yards in 15 minutes, retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of a pool, tread water for two minutes, and lift yourself out of the poolWilling to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAble to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English languageAble to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc.
