Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an Application Analyst II with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. This is a hybrid position - 3 days a week in office. Pay: $49.00 - $54.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship. Description: We are looking for a customer-oriented, highly engaged, and motivated individual with strong technical skills for an IT Application Analyst position aligned with the Regulated & Renewable Energy (RRE) business domain. This individual will be responsible for supporting Fuels and System Optimization (FSO) application portfolio, as well as overseeing a MSP team for certain aspects of the application portfolio. Responsibilities: Provide technical support responsibilities of multiple IT application resources to ensure business value, performance, and reliability of our technology solutions. Operate in a way that meets IT annual objectives (i.e., safety, reliability, cost management, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction). Create a culture of Operational Excellence by promoting standard processes and procedures with solid Client tools. Ensure the implementation of integrated processes, products, services and measures to deliver high value/low-cost solutions which maximize business results. Work with the teams to ensure any service disruptions (MIs) specific to the portfolio are managed and resolved appropriately. 24/7 support of escalated production issues for critical applications as needed. Maintain positive and effective business relationships with internal business partners who utilize the team's applications to ensure the team is delivering business value. Create a positive and rewarding work environment with growth and development opportunities for employees. This includes providing frequent and fair feedback to employees regarding expectations and performance through recognition, coaching, and goal setting during regularly scheduled employee development meetings. Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to team members. Create both internal and external job postings, review resumes, interview and hire resources. Manage responsibilities for contingent workforce or managed services to ensure compliance withinpolicies for external labor. This includes management of contracts for staff augmentation or oversight of work statements for managed service providers. Maintain IT Asset ownership data for items owned/managed in Reveal. This includes AD groups, process ids, file shares, servers, databases, etc. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and IT requirements, including patching and change management. Own and maintain standards, security exceptions as needed. Support the team through client's IT initiatives such as Application Sustainability, Cloud Transformation and Data Strategy for relevant applications. Basic/Required Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other related discipline Minimum of 5 years required related work experience In lieu of Bachelor's degree and 5 years related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 8 year(s) related work experience Desired Qualifications: Ability to effectively be hands on, as well as lead/prioritize personnel and resources. Technically adapt in technologies is a plus: Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to interact effectively with management, peers, and most important, customers. Collaboration skills to foster effective working relationships with the team and customers. Ability to quickly adapt and comprehend complex technical environments and associated challenges. Proven experience managing software support and delivery. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. Ability to manage resolution of complex issues ranging from technology to vendor to business issues. Masterful multi-tasking, organization, and tracking skills. Working knowledge of IT processes. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately using oral and written communications. Effective presentation skills. Proficiency with SQL and navigating complex databases Familiarity with Cloud technologies and managing Windows servers hosted in AWS and Azure environments.
