Our client, located in Chapel Hill, NC, is a professional services company operating in a highly regulated space, specializing in medical writing, quality control review, and electronic regulatory submissions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations. They are currently seeking a part-time HR Generalist (10-20 hours per week) to provide both strategic policy guidance and tactical support, including advising managers on performance concerns and screening candidates. This need arises as their long-standing HR consultant transitions off due to time constraints. Key Responsibilities Advise leadership on HR policies, compliance, and best practices Support managers with employee performance concerns and accountability Conduct in-depth candidate screening and assist with hiring processes Maintain accurate documentation and proactively report on project status Triage urgent HR matters and respond promptly when escalations arise Serve as a trusted subject matter expert and collaborative partner to leadership Ideal Candidate Profile Comfortable balancing strategic HR guidance with day-to-day administrative support Highly responsive, organized, and ownership-driven Confident setting boundaries and holding others accountable Able to operate effectively in ambiguity and during organizational change Relatable, emotionally intelligent, and able to "read the room" Sole practitioner (not part of a fractional HR firm) Available 10-20 hours per week with flexibility as needed
