The Business Systems Development Functional Lead is a results-oriented IT professional with a minimum of 8 years' experience in business systems development. This vital role entails leading the software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to transform business needs into impactful technology solutions. The Functional Lead is expected to utilize in-depth knowledge of application integration, API management, and middleware platforms to ensure successful project outcomes. Mentorship of analysts and facilitation of cross-functional collaboration are key aspects of this position. Strong communication skills are essential for bridging technical and non-technical domains. Key Responsibilities: Guide the software development lifecycle using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches. Evaluate and improve business processes to align IT initiatives with overarching organizational objectives. Oversee application integration and API management for optimal interoperability across systems. Manage projects using Jira and other reputable project management tools. Create and document functional requirements in partnership with technical and business teams. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and clients to identify and address business needs. Provide mentorship to business analysts, fostering effective collaboration across functional teams. Encourage the adoption and proficient use of middleware platforms within the application landscape. Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity. Qualifications: At least 8 years' experience in business systems development and IT functional leadership roles. Demonstrated experience as a functional lead through all stages of the software development lifecycle. Strong background in application integration and API strategy, ensuring scalable and secure connectivity across enterprise platforms. Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external customers. Expertise in Business Process Analysis. Proficiency in the Application Development Lifecycle (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Experience with Application Integration & API Management. Familiarity with Middleware Platforms. Proficient in Jira and other Project Management Tools. Strong Project Management abilities. Skilled in Functional Design & Documentation. Compensation: The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $132,000 annually, depending on factors like geographical location, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
