Responsibilities:CWI will be overseeing fabrication of 42 steel polesIt will include weekly reports, welding quality checks, fit-up checks etc.Assignment will be at a fabrication shop in South Bend, IndianaTechnical & Industry Experience:Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, etc.)MANDATORY ANST Level 3 OR at least level 2 UT and MTSeeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with ASNT Level II UT & MT certifications for onsite inspections.5+ years of welding inspection experience, perform visual, dimensional, and NDT inspections, and document findings per AWS, ASME, and client standards.Independent contractor role-must provide own tools and have reliable transportation.Must be a local with access to a computer.Ability to work well in independent and group problem-solving situationsAbility to maintain a positive, professional disposition when adapting to occasional disruptions and unexpected eventsFlexibility in scheduling.Job Type: 1099 ContractorProject Duration:CURRENT PROJECT: 5 weeks.Note: This is a 1099 contract role – project duration may vary based on client needsShift Hours:CURRENT PROJECT: Monday–Saturday, day shift, on site.Note: As a 1099 contractor, project schedules may vary depending on site availabilityLocation:Must be able to travel to South Bend, Indiana and nearby areas (exact CLIENT address can ONLY be shared once contractor joins)
