Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Coeur D Alene, ID Agency: Magnet Medical Pay: $2,469 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Magnet Medical to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Coeur D Alene, Idaho, 83814!A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool is a versatile and adaptable nursing professional who provides care across various departments or units within a healthcare facility, as needed. Float pool nurses are trained to handle a wide range of patient care situations and are called upon to /"float/" between different departments, such as medical-surgical, critical care, emergency, pediatrics, or labor and delivery, based on the hospital's staffing needs. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to adapt quickly to different environments, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities./n/nKey Responsibilities:/n/n/nPatient Care:/n/nProvide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions./nMonitor and document patients' vital signs, symptoms, and conditions, and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare team members./nAdminister medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the physician./nEnsure patient safety by following clinical protocols, infection control measures, and providing appropriate interventions to prevent complications./nAssist with procedures and treatments in various departments, depending on patient needs and unit assignments./n/n/n/nAdaptability Across Units:/n/nWork in different patient care settings, adjusting to the needs of diverse patient populations and departments (e.g., med-surg, ICU, ED, pediatrics, labor and delivery)./nQuickly familiarize oneself with unit-specific protocols, equipment, and workflows./nCollaborate with unit teams, providing support wherever staffing shortages or increased patient volume occur./nBe flexible with shifting between units and adapting to the varied demands of different patient care areas./n/n/n/nCollaboration with Healthcare Teams:/n/nWork closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, other nurses, and healthcare support staff to deliver optimal patient care./nParticipate in patient rounds, provide updates on patient conditions, and assist in care planning and delivery./nCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care, informed consent, and patient education./n/n/n/nPatient Education:/n/nEducate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and self-care post-discharge./nProvide emotional support to patients and families, especially in acute or complex situations./nEnsure patients understand their care plans and are prepared for any necessary procedures or discharge instructions./n/n/n/nClinical Documentation:/n/nMaintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatments, medications, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR)./nEnsure that all patient records are compliant with hospital policies, legal requirements, and confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA)./n/n/n/nInfection Control and Safety:/n/nAdhere to infection control guidelines, including proper hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and sterilization practices./nEnsure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors by following safety protocols and reporting hazards./n/n/n/nEmergency and Critical Care Support:/n/nRespond quickly to emergency situations (e.g., code blue, trauma) and provide necessary life-saving interventions./nWork under pressure, especially in fast-paced environments, to provide critical care to patients in emergency departments, ICUs, or other high-acuity areas./nBe prepared to manage and prioritize a high caseload, particularly during staffing shortages or high patient volumes./n/n/n/nStaffing Support and Flexibility:/n/nServe as a flexible resource for departments experiencing staff shortages or increased patient volume./nAssist with staffing gaps due to absences, vacations, or high patient acuity, while maintaining high standards of patient care./nMaintain flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays, depending on unit needs./n/n/n About Magnet Medical  We are new and nimble!  Even though our company is new we have over 30 years of experience in the Healthcare Staffing world.
