Long Term Disability Claims Analyst

We are seeking a Long Term Disability Claims Analyst who is passionate about finding solutions, using critical thinking, and providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in investigating claims and making timely, accurate, and customer-focused determinations regarding Long Term Disability benefits. This role requires a combination of vocational, medical, and financial claim management skills. You will be crucial in supporting our customers during their recovery journey. Work Arrangement: This position offers a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates near one of our office locations are expected to work in the office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Those who do not live near an office will work remotely, with occasional office visits as needed. Start Date: 5/11/26 Training Hours: Core business hours M-F Length of Training: 6 - 8 weeks Work Hours After Training: Core business hours Responsibilities: Gather information from claimants, employers, and medical providers to assess Long Term Disability claims. Analyze medical and financial data to determine eligibility for benefits. Deliver exceptional customer service through professional communication skills. Commit to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment. Qualifications: Strong time management and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain high accuracy while achieving productivity targets. Adaptability to new ideas and situations. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to navigate multiple systems. High School Diploma/GED is required. Prior claim experience or a medical background is a plus but not necessary. Additional Information: This role can be classified as either Segment 1 or Segment 2 Analyst based on your experience and skills. Compensation: The expected annual base pay range for this role is $48,071 - $73,089. Actual pay may vary based on performance and experience. In addition to base pay, The Hartford offers a comprehensive total compensation package including bonuses and recognition rewards.
