Position Overview As a Cable and Telecom Technician, you will be crucial in installing, maintaining, and upgrading our cable systems while addressing service issues efficiently. Your main objective is to ensure the optimal functionality of cable systems through effective troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Efficiently conduct scheduled installations, disconnects, and maintenance on cable, broadband, and telephony systems. Work in diverse environments, including high and confined spaces, and perform tasks that may involve ladder climbing. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues as they arise. Collaborate with team members, accurately managing work orders, forms, and reports. Maintain and manage job-related stock effectively. Strictly follow company and OSHA safety regulations. Adapt to changing workloads to meet business demands. Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude in public interactions. Utilize communication devices effectively to fulfill job responsibilities. Demonstrate commitment to quality in your work and take pride in the results. Perform daily data entry for completed tasks. Candidate Qualifications: Must have a clean personal vehicle (truck, van, or SUV) capable of carrying a 28 ft ladder (ladder rack may be provided). A valid driver's license, registration, and auto insurance are required (DMV records will be verified). Exemplary time management skills are essential. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Physically capable of performing all job functions. Maintain organization and a professional appearance. Basic computer skills are necessary. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Effectively communicate with supervisors and team members using various channels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, decision-making, and meeting deadlines. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors. Familiarity with hand tools is a plus. Must not have a fear of heights. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Maintain a positive attitude at all times. Compensation: $17.75/hr + weekly incentives + mileage reimbursement. Exceptional performers can earn an average of up to $28/hr.
