Join an exciting and impactful team in AmeriCorps NCCC, a full-time volunteer service program for enthusiastic young adults! As a FEMA Volunteer Team Member for a 10-month term, you'll have the unique opportunity to: Work with a diverse and motivated team of 8-12 young adults Travel to various locations across the country with all expenses covered Engage in 3-6 meaningful service projects with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Your work will focus on critical areas such as disaster mitigation, planning, preparedness, and response. Projects may involve connecting disaster survivors to benefits, managing supply warehouses, evaluating emergency shelters, and much more. Receive the Segal Education Award, which can be used for educational expenses or qualified student loans Benefits Transportation, housing, and meals provided Receive a bi-weekly living stipend of approximately $430 Enjoy paid leave, sick leave, and emergency leave Access a limited health benefit plan Earn a Segal Education Award of $7,395 for educational expenses or qualified loans Participate in valuable training for Microsoft products and Emergency Management courses Gain hands-on experience in a professional office environment Build a professional network and acquire experience in the Emergency Management field Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen Aged between 18-24 Willing to travel throughout the United States and U.S. territories Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Time commitment: 40 hours per week from February to November 2026 This is an entry-level position, and no degree or previous work experience is required to apply
