As a Junior Project Manager, you will play a key role in defining, planning, and executing complex programs requiring cross-functional teamwork and coordination across various projects. You will manage a team of internal and/or matrixed employees and contractors to deliver effective business solutions. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with business and technical teams to establish program strategies and objectives. Maintain a comprehensive Program roadmap with details on cross-functional projects and activities. Coordinate project teams with business and technical units. Lead Project Managers and team members in creating and maintaining detailed plans for the programs. Engage with the Executive Sponsor and Business Owner, along with other management personnel, to align program objectives with business goals. Monitor, assess, and report on the program's status, including scope, timeline, budget, and alignment with strategic objectives. Implement corrective actions when necessary to enhance program effectiveness. Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Deliver impactful presentations to communicate project status throughout the lifecycle. Adhere to Highmark's project management methodologies, project lifecycle practices, and audit standards. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the organization. Take on additional responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in project coordination roles involving analysis, documentation, project schedule maintenance, status reporting, and budget tracking. Preferred: Bachelor's degree. PMP certification or equivalent training. Understanding of business operations within the Health Care Insurance industry. Proven leadership and organizational skills. Familiarity with software development life cycles. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with customer relationship management. Presentation and negotiation skills. Conflict resolution capabilities. Risk Mitigation Planning experience. Language (Other than English): None Travel Requirement: 0% - 25% PHYSICAL, MENTAL DEMANDS, and WORKING CONDITIONS Position Type: Office-based with occasional travel.
