Position Overview We are seeking a Manager in Data and Analytics to provide data-driven insights and strategic solutions for our oil and gas clients. In this role, you will navigate the dynamic world of analytics, data governance, and modern data platforms, offering expert leadership and innovative perspectives on how to leverage data for operational improvements and transformational change. Your Responsibilities Lead the development of resource plans and budgets for engagements, ensuring engagement economics are effectively managed. Utilize sound judgment to select appropriate methods and techniques for optimal results. Define and implement analytics and governance strategies that align with client business objectives and regulatory requirements. Establish robust data governance frameworks, including policies and accountability models across the organization. Oversee Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management, and data cataloging practices to ensure data consistency and trust. Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards, collaborating with Legal, Security, and Risk teams. Lead a diverse team of analysts, engineers, and data stewards, ensuring high-quality delivery and stakeholder confidence. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data analytics architectures in collaboration with enterprise architects. Manage cloud-based data analytics platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and Hadoop. Drive the creation of analytical models, data pipelines, and visualizations to address complex business challenges. Leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Translate business initiatives into prioritized use cases with demonstrable ROI and manage delivery across multiple domains. Develop and promote data literacy programs to foster a data-driven culture in client organizations. Communicate analytical findings using compelling visualizations designed for both technical and business audiences. Build and sustain trusted relationships with stakeholders across operations, IT, and executive leadership. Stay updated on emerging technologies and oil & gas trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., statistics, computer science) with prior consulting experience. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in data analytics, governance, or strategy, ideally in the oil & gas sector. Proven track record in deploying analytics solutions across various oil & gas domains. Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, including data quality metrics and compliance. Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) and related tools. Experience designing scalable data architectures. Proficient with data analytics tools like SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau. Expertise in advanced analytics and machine learning methodologies. Hands-on experience with big data and cloud platforms. Ability to lead large-scale digital transformations and foster trusted client relationships. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams. A valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary. Ideal Candidates May Also Have Experience deploying data products for asset management or safety compliance. Familiarity with data mesh concepts and decentralized data ownership.
