Registered Nurse CVOR | Trussville, Alabama

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This contract position offers a full-time schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week on day shifts, located in Trussville, AL. Location Positioned in a reputable medical facility within the Birmingham area, this role offers the chance to work in a focused CVOR environment with state-of-the-art technology including Cerner SurgiNet EMR systems and two designated CVOR rooms within a 24-bed OR suite. The patient care ratio is 1:1, allowing for dedicated attention to adult patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Qualifications & Desired Experience Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Minimum 1 year of CVOR nursing experience required Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications (AHA approved) Experience with both scrubbing and circulating in the OR is a plus Ability to float to other related units as needed Strong understanding of CVOR equipment and protocols Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients in the CVOR setting Collaborate with surgical teams to provide safe, efficient perioperative support Maintain compliance with dress code: navy blue scrubs, no fleece, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoods; attire must be low linting Adhere to call schedule requirements every other day and every other weekend Utilize Cerner SurgiNet EMR for documentation and patient care records Schedule Day shift: 05:45 AM - 2:15 PM 36 hours per week guaranteed Call required every other day and every other weekend (call only on weekends) This contract role is well-suited for a proficient CVOR RN seeking a dynamic and focused work environment.
