Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Aerospace Inspector to join our Quality team. This role is critical to ensuring aircraft components and assemblies comply with FAA/EASA regulations, AS9100 standards, and internal quality requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on inspection experience, strong technical documentation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment focused on safety, precision, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and final parts and assemblies Verify tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and related tools Ensure components meet FAA regulations, customer specifications, and internal quality standards Review and verify quality documentation including work orders, Certificates of Conformance, inspection records, and travelers Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records in compliance with FAA and AS9100 requirements Identify, document, and report nonconformances; support root cause analysis and corrective actions Perform calibration checks and basic calibration activities as required Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (FAA, AS9100) Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or aerospace-related training preferred 2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or FAA repair station inspection Working knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 145), AS9100, and aerospace quality systems Proficient with precision measuring tools and mechanical inspection techniques Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with CMM inspection and Zeiss Calypso software Knowledge of calibration systems, special processes, or non-destructive testing (NDT) Familiarity with EASA requirements Experience working in a regulated, audit-driven environment Preferred Certifications (Not Required) FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) IPC, NADCAP, or NDT Level II Certification
