Sr Workstation/Server Administrator

DPP is seeking a Sr. Workstation/Server Administrator for an opportunity in Columbia, SC. Hybrid Schedule: Onsite in Columbia, SC Tuesday-Thursday (Monday and Friday WFH) Duration: 11-month assignment Work authorization: U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a Public Trust (C2) clearance Position summary: We are seeking a Sr. Workstation/Server Administrator to support the modernization of the development pipeline for the workstation and Citrix platforms. This role involves scripting, building test code, and managing source control and deployment tools. The ideal candidate will have strong workstation management and troubleshooting skills, support automation initiatives, and assist with technical components of Citrix, VDI, and Zero Touch projects. What you will be doing: Participate in daily standups Script and automate tasks to support workstation and Citrix platform modernization Build test code and support CI/CD workflows Manage source control and deployment tools Support physical and virtual workstation environments Assist with Zero Touch, Citrix, and VDI-related tasks Assist with monthly image builds using BigFix OSD or Intune Autopilot Create dashboards for workstation health monitoring (e.g., Splunk) Pull data from APIs to enrich endpoint health insights Troubleshoot MFP network printers and Citrix XenDesktop as needed Document build standards, configurations, and processes Support hardware validation and lab testing efforts Minimum required work experience: Minimum 4 years supporting workstations, servers, or enterprise applications Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting Required education/equivalencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience; OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree) Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Technical skills: PowerShell scripting Python scripting JSON usage in automation or data handling Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins Strong PC hardware and workstation OS knowledge Strong Microsoft Windows OS expertise Troubleshooting across hardware, OS, and enterprise applications Experience with Intune (or BigFix/ECM as functional equivalents) Understanding of Entra ID / Azure AD Experience working with APIs (queries, data pulls, integrations) Platform knowledge: Endpoint management concepts (MDM, device governance, imaging) Working knowledge of Citrix, VDI concepts, and virtual workspace environments Professional skills: Ability to document technical standards and configurations Strong communication and teamwork in a collaborative technical environment Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities: A+ Certification Splunk dashboard creation or enterprise logging experience Experience integrating REST/HTTP APIs Junior or full-stack development experience Familiarity with: Citrix Cloud or XenDesktop BigFix OSD or Intune Autopilot SCCM/ECD ServiceNow App Insights PowerShell automation beyond basic scripting Experience supporting automation initiatives Cloud or Intune certifications Interested?
