Purpose of the Role: The Environmental Support Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring our facility remains clean, organized, and safe, contributing to smooth operations and high-quality production. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness of production areas, assisting with maintenance, and adhering to safety procedures. Your Impact: As an Environmental Support Technician, you will actively engage in the composting process, helping to create valuable soil and compost while ensuring the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. Your focus on attention to detail will prevent equipment issues and maintain a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate skid steer equipment for cleanup and maintenance tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of grounds, production areas, and equipment. Perform routine maintenance on equipment including filter changes and general housekeeping. Assist with various maintenance duties as a maintenance helper. Follow safety procedures and operational guidelines consistently. Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience operating skid steer, weed-eater, or water truck. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Able to follow instructions and learn environmental handling procedures. Physically able to lift 50 pounds and perform manual labor. Valid driver’s license is required. Physical Demands: This position involves regular physical activity including using your hands and arms to handle equipment and materials. You may stand, walk, or climb frequently and may be required to lift and move up to 50 pounds. The environment may have dust, strong odors, and noise, and personal protective equipment will be provided.
