As a Construction Safety and Risk Management Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing safety standards within the construction industry. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive risk assessment services and innovative loss control training programs aimed at both existing and potential clients. Your essential duties will include: Generating effective risk engineering and loss control solutions tailored to a diverse client base. Identifying critical safety issues and delivering actionable recommendations. Operating within a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to risk management. Creating detailed loss control and site-specific safety plans for large-scale construction projects and agribusiness/food industry accounts. Marketing, coordinating, and delivering top-notch risk control services to clients and prospective clients. Conducting field visits alongside carrier representatives to engage with existing and potential clients. Advising on compliance with federal and state safety regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, and JCAHO. Utilizing your expertise in coverage, claims, and safety to influence management and promote positive outcomes. Coordinating relationships with account executives, claims managers, wrap-up teams, and external insurance carrier representatives. Willingness and capability to travel as required. Maintaining accurate data within the agency management system. Performing other duties as assigned. To qualify for this role, you should possess: A bachelor’s degree or over twelve years of relevant safety experience. Extensive knowledge of construction trades, agribusiness, or related industries. A CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification, along with OSHA 500 trainer certification. Key skills required include: Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities. The capacity to convey complex technical plans in strategic formats. A collaborative spirit and the ability to steer team dynamics effectively. Excellent qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
