Pricing Associate Actuary

Join our dedicated team and help prioritize health The Pricing Associate Actuary plays a crucial role in setting pricing assumptions and managing the submission of bids, as well as filing and obtaining approval for premium rates and rate certifications from regulatory bodies. This position supports the implementation of new rates, plans, and benefit changes, providing essential insights to Product Development regarding the cost impacts of new products and benefits. In this role, you will establish financial metrics at the market level to align with profitability goals. You will analyze market results and projections, recommending pricing strategies to address any gaps. Additionally, you will leverage market projections and data tools to identify root causes and develop insightful strategies by understanding competitors and collaborating with sales and other partners to foster profitable membership growth. The Pricing Associate Actuary is accountable for actuarial certifications on rate filings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will begin to influence departmental strategies and make informed decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components with minimal direction, exercising significant latitude in determining your objectives and approaches to assignments. Utilize your talents to make a difference Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation MAAA Excellent communication skills Strong passion for enhancing consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications: Experience in health insurance Experience with Medicare Advantage While this is a remote position, some travel to Humana's offices may be necessary for training or meetings. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: The estimated starting base pay for full-time employment is between $106,900 and $147,000 per year. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location as well as individual experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and individual performance.
