We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to develop a variety of estimates, from initial concepts to comprehensive design, for intricate environmental, heavy civil, operations and maintenance, military, and government facility projects. As part of our dynamic team, you will engage with design documents, proposals, specifications, and drawings, participate in design development discussions, and conduct site visits to accurately define project scope and associated costs. In this role, you will be an essential contributor and mentor, preparing estimates by developing project work breakdown structures, executing detailed scope of work take-offs, assisting contract staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors, and applying appropriate construction methodologies. Collaborating closely with design teams, you will ensure that the quality and extent of inputs meet the necessary standards for effective design build construction estimates. You will utilize both your analytical and creative capabilities to produce insightful reports and presentations, while also analyzing historical data. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management Proficiency in current technology (Word, Excel, estimating, scheduling, and database software) Deep understanding of estimating processes, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, risk management, markup structures, and estimate documentation Experience with quantitative risk analysis software, including @Risk and Primavera Risk Analysis Familiarity with industry estimating software, such as Timberline, HCSS Heavy Bid, and MII Estimating Systems Understanding of project scheduling and ability to use Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project Able to travel to meet project requirements Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills Capable of working independently Effective in relationship building and conflict resolution Experience in mentoring junior staff Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
