Job Summary and Qualifications The Nurse Extern PRN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and assist with high-quality, patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting nursing staff with daily patient care tasks. Collaborating with the clinical team to implement care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care. Collecting and documenting patient information throughout the care process. Assisting with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and transferring patients as necessary. Translating medical terminology for patients and their families to enhance understanding of conditions and treatments. Educating patients and families about diet, exercise, and health management for discharge. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and in good standing. Ability to develop a personal career development plan to be reviewed by a supervisor. One year of completed nursing school is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
