Job Summary At Navista, our mission is to empower community oncology practices to deliver exceptional patient-centered cancer care. We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer/Solution Architect to champion strategic technical initiatives and propel product development within Navista's Application Services. In this role, you will design innovative, scalable, and secure oncology-focused applications, deliver technical leadership, and uphold operational excellence across our portfolio, which includes EMR/EHR, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), PACS, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), pharmacy solutions, orchestration engines, and healthcare interoperability standards. This position requires deep healthcare domain expertise in oncology, alongside strong technical design skills and thought leadership to drive clinical, operational, and business transformation. Responsibilities Act as a hands-on technical leader, crafting scalable, reliable solutions, writing high-quality code, automating workflows, and reviewing deliverables. Lead the solution architecture for oncology applications such as EMRs, PACS, LIS, pharmacy systems, RCM, and orchestration platforms. Work closely with business, clinical, operations, product, and IT teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and support implementation aligned with strategic goals. Develop comprehensive architectural designs, integration frameworks, and documentation addressing compliance, interoperability (HL7, FHIR), security, scalability, and performance. Assist with vendor evaluations, system integrations, and cloud migration processes. Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks throughout solution delivery lifecycles. Serve as a technical thought leader, fostering collaboration and architectural excellence across Navista. Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to drive integrated, high-impact outcomes. Mentor and guide engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, architectural standards, and promoting a culture of continuous innovation. Qualifications 8-12 years of relevant experience, preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, preferred. 6+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in digital healthcare applications and infrastructure, preferably with an oncology focus and deep understanding of oncology practice-facing technologies. Proficient in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and compliant architectures tailored to oncology practice needs, ensuring high availability and performance. Solid knowledge of oncology-specific technology solutions, including the integration of clinical systems like EMR/EHR, PACS, LIS, pharmacy, and revenue cycle management (RCM) platforms. Strong understanding of oncology workflows, clinical care processes, and revenue cycle management specific to oncology practices. Extensive experience with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and data exchange protocols, as well as orchestration engines and workflow automation. Experience in designing and deploying AI-driven healthcare solutions is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical direction and simplify complex concepts for both technical teams and leadership audiences.
