Unit Manager - Full Time (First Shift: 7am-3pm) Do you want to lead a team and make a real difference every day? St. Joseph's Center, a caring nonprofit organization, is looking for a full-time, 1st shift, Unit Manager for our residential program. This role is based at our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) on the Main Campus in Scranton, PA. As a Unit Manager, you will guide a team of Direct Support Professionals and make sure residents receive safe, respectful, and person-centered care. The primary function of this position is to lead and mentor the Direct Support Professionals on 1st shift. Train staff on care plans, goals, and daily routines. Make sure residents' Individual Plans are followed. Help with personal care needs when needed (feeding, changing, positioning). Keep the unit safe and organized; report any issues to leadership. Hold staff meetings and share updates from administration. Work with the team to solve problems and improve care. Report medical concerns to nursing staff quickly. Assist with hiring and training new staff. Attend required meetings and training sessions. At least 3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. At least 1 year working as a DSP, CNA, or similar role. Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to lift 10-50 lbs. and assist with transfers. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
