Per Diem Pharmacy Tech - Naperville, Illinois

A retail pharmacy is seeking a bilingual Pharmacy Technician proficient in Spanish to support daily operations at their location in Chicago, IL. This per diem role offers the opportunity to work 2-3 days per week within a busy retail environment, interacting directly with patients and assisting with prescription processing. Location: Chicago, IL Schedule: Monday to Thursday: 9 AM - 5 PM Friday: 9 AM - 2 PM Saturday: 9 AM - 2 PM Closed Sundays Responsibilities: Assist with over-the-counter (OTC) duties Accurately fill 50-75 prescriptions daily Communicate with patients both in-person and over the phone to provide assistance and answer questions Perform retail pharmacy tasks and ensure smooth workflow Utilize the Best Rx system (training available) Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not mandatory Prior retail pharmacy experience is ideal, though new graduates eager to learn are encouraged to apply Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with the patient community This role is a great fit for individuals who are detail-oriented, enjoy engaging with patients, and are comfortable working in a retail pharmacy setting.
