Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Location: Lawton, OK Job Type: Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Some Weekend Coverage May Be Required Weekly Gross Pay: $1,200 - $1,500 (Based on Experience) Position Overview A healthcare facility in Lawton, OK is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or illness. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist with therapy treatments and help patients improve mobility, strength, and overall physical function. This position will support patients in both the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and the Acute Care Medical-Surgical Unit. Key Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities. Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence. Use therapeutic equipment and treatment modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist. Document patient treatments, progress, and outcomes in the medical record. Educate patients on home exercise programs and recovery techniques. Ensure patient safety and adherence to therapy protocols during all sessions. Assist with therapy services in both the inpatient rehabilitation unit and acute care medical-surgical unit.
