About the Role: As an Automated Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in enhancing equipment reliability and operational efficiency in our fulfillment centers. Your proactive approach to control automation and technical support will be essential in diagnosing complex control systems, analyzing performance data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems and lead innovative projects utilizing cutting-edge technologies, such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, and SCADA devices. Your efforts will directly influence our ability to meet our customers' needs swiftly and accurately. What We Offer: Attractive compensation packages, including comprehensive healthcare benefits from Day 1 401(k) matching program Up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave Safety gear, such as lightweight, fire-resistant apparel and composite toe safety shoes Your Key Responsibilities Include: Serve as the site expert in maintaining automation systems critical to operations Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and support teams to optimize MHE systems Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks Monitor MHE metrics, working with maintenance and operations teams to resolve system performance challenges Provide first-level escalation support for technicians both on-site and remotely Lead Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes to promote continuous improvement Conduct system assessments to boost MHE performance Communicate technical issues and project timelines clearly to managers and teams Perform physical tasks such as moving up to 49lbs, climbing ladders, and engaging in manual dexterity BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in PLC programming or automation engineering Background in PLC-controlled automation within a continuous process environment Proficient in Ladder Logic and structured programming from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs Understanding of electrical theory, robotics, and automated equipment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with HMI and control network components Familiarity with motor control systems and preventive maintenance procedures 1+ years of experience with SCADA systems Experience in hardware/software integration and real-time systems 4+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Amazon is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $112,500.00 annually. Your Amazon package will also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
