Job Summary and Qualifications The Nurse Extern PRN will operate under the guidance of Registered Nurses (RNs) and assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include: Collaborating with the clinical team to implement patient care plans. Obtaining and documenting patient information throughout their care cycle. Assisting with patient mobility, including regular positioning and transfers. Translating complex medical information for patients and families. Educating patients and families on healthy habits and preparations for self-management post-discharge. Qualifications include: Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program and good standing, with competency in performing higher-level procedures as achieved. Ability to develop and review a personal career development plan. Preferably one year of completed nursing education. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
