Join Our Team as an IT Architecture Lead! Are you passionate about leading technical projects and designing high-level architectures? We are seeking a skilled IT Architecture Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding our technical efforts and collaborating with various teams to enhance our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain high-level architecture documentation. Collaborate across teams to define necessary infrastructure and tools. Research new technologies and best industry practices for potential adoption. Communicate the impact of design decisions to leadership. Initiate, plan, and manage technical projects while maintaining documentation. Lead and mentor technical staff, bridging business and technical project aspects. Create and manage high-quality project documentation and executive briefings. Develop and maintain project schedules. Facilitate troubleshooting sessions to identify and resolve issues. Ensure project deliverables meet agreed-upon standards with clients. Take direct responsibility for developing and deploying application components utilizing tools such as Databricks and SQL. Support high-level architecture design, delivering robust and scalable solutions. This position is remote within the US, but ideal candidates will be located near Lanham MD, Farmers Branch TX, or Austin TX, with some occasional meetings at IRS facilities. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a relevant role. At least 4 years of experience leading a technical team in production environments. 10 years of hands-on experience with databases and ETL applications. 2 years of experience with IRS systems and data. Expertise in cloud technologies and migrations. Implementation knowledge of AWS, Java, Python, and database systems like Oracle and Databricks. Experience with performance optimization in data pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in architectural design and development. Preferred Skills: Experience with building data pipelines on AWS and Databricks. Proficiency in AWS DMS and CLI tools. Hands-on experience with data migration and manipulation. Strong programming skills in Python within Linux environments. Knowledge of SQL tuning techniques. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Prior development experience using containerization technologies. Additional Requirements: Must meet requirements for IRS Minimum Background Investigation clearance. U.S. Citizenship or legal permanent resident status for at least three years. Must be Federal Tax compliant.
