Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement: Be visible on the floor, greeting, engaging, and assisting customers actively. Transaction Processing: Handle customer transactions swiftly and accurately at the checkout lane. Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Understand the POS system and accurately process various payment methods including cash, credit, debit, and EBT. Loss Prevention: Adhere to company policies regarding cash management and control losses effectively. Regulatory Compliance: Understand and follow regulations for restricted sale items and report pricing discrepancies when they occur. Policy Adherence: Follow established procedures for handling stamps, gift cards, and coupons. Customer Assistance: Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and promotions. Safety Compliance: Reinforce safety practices, identify unsafe conditions, and communicate them to store management. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct inspections of equipment and report issues that need attention. Teamwork and Conflict Resolution: Collaborate efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts positively. Qualifications: Preferred Skills: Strong customer service background and effective communication abilities. Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in counting, addition, and subtraction is essential. Preferred Experience: Prior customer service experience and familiarity with roles such as Bagger or Courtesy Clerk are a plus.
