Requisition ID: 43493BR Business Unit: TSU Job Description: CDM Smith is excited to invite applications for a Senior Sediment Remediation Engineer role. We are seeking an experienced professional who can effectively lead engineering teams and manage sediment remediation projects for a diverse array of clients, particularly in the Federal and Public sectors. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate the feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and create designs for large riverine and coastal sites, engaging with multiple stakeholders. Apply your knowledge of sediment and contaminant transport, environmental assessments, sampling techniques, cap modeling, and remedial action design. Support and conduct mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data. Act as the task manager for complex sediment sites, identifying problems and devising effective technical strategies for clients. Possess thorough knowledge of the CERCLA process steps at Superfund sites. Serve as a technical liaison with clients, explaining intricate evaluations and designs to non-experts. Guide and mentor team members in preparing and reviewing technical documents to ensure compliance with regulations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional Engineering (PE) license. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally based on project needs. Preferred Qualifications: Strong team collaboration skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Client-oriented with a knack for building partnerships, especially with federal and public agencies. Negotiation and presentation prowess.
