Job Title: Civil/Environmental Engineering Specialist Work Location: Atlanta, GA Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview Duties/Responsibilities: Design and develop comprehensive stormwater management plans, focusing on effective analysis and innovative solutions for stormwater systems such as drainage channels, detention basins, and culverts. Utilize advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) to create accurate assessments. Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for project proposals, ensuring seamless permitting processes. Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors, to promote successful project outcomes. Conduct thorough site evaluations and field inspections, overseeing construction to guarantee compliance with design specifications and local regulations. Assist in preparing project budgets, schedules, and proposals, contributing to the overall planning and execution of projects. Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff, fostering professional development within the team. Evaluate and determine optimal site solutions using a variety of Stormwater product offerings. Present tailored project solutions to civil engineering specifiers, enhancing project visibility and engagement. Deliver precise design calculations and drawings for integration into civil engineering plans, ensuring effective product solutions. Address inquiries from civil engineers regarding project specifics and industry standards, including local stormwater regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with civil engineer specifiers to support ongoing collaboration. Contribute to team success by supporting area and internal team members in achieving collective goals. Offer project and technical support for submittal drawings, calculations, regulatory approvals, production, and product delivery. Ensure accurate recording of project information for transparency and progress tracking. Perform other duties as assigned. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. 5+ years of experience in civil/stormwater engineering. Expertise in stormwater design, including knowledge of green infrastructure practices. Profound knowledge of CAD software and drafting procedures. Proficiency in civil engineering software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to stormwater management. Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills. Experience with green infrastructure and low-impact development (LID) design methodologies. Familiarity with stormwater quality modeling and best management practices (BMPs).
