This exciting role allows you to make a direct impact on associate wellbeing while driving operational excellence. As a WHS Manager, you will serve as the safety champion at your site, leading the implementation of our Global WHS Program. This position combines practical safety management with strategic thinking to protect our most valuable asset—our people. You will collaborate closely with Operations leadership to drive impactful safety initiatives. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and analyzing safety data. Implementing effective solutions that enhance safety and productivity. Building relationships and inspiring positive change to cultivate a robust safety culture. Leading safety compliance efforts and performing thorough site audits. Analyzing incident trends to target improvements. Managing the first aid program and ensuring that emergency response capabilities are always ready. Your analytical skills will be crucial for transforming safety data into action-oriented insights, while your leadership will engage associates in our safety mission. Core Impact Areas: Safety Leadership & Innovation: Shift the safety culture through innovative leadership. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives that set new benchmarks in workplace safety using technology and data analytics. Strategic Partnership & Influence: Establish partnerships with Operations leadership to seamlessly integrate safety into every business aspect. Use compelling data analysis to influence positive changes and strategic decisions, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor. Additional Job Elements: Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently engage in physical movements such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts. Work in environments with varying noise levels. Adapt to variable temperatures and weather conditions (e.g., outside loading departments). Continuously climb and descend stairs (relevant to sites with stairs). Provide effective care in emergencies and assist with emergency response on site. This role entails travel flexibility of 50-70% of the time and the ability to work various shifts. If you do not have a valid First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, you must obtain this within 3 weeks of your start date. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. 3+ years of experience in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations. 3+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in Distribution Centers or manufacturing safety with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people. Master's degree preferred. Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced organization. Certification as a Safety Professional is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in collaboration with site leaders. Able to develop and implement department goals and strategies. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing circumstances. Proficient in Microsoft Office, skilled in pivot tables, charts, and graphics. Able to manage multiple sites/remotely.
