School-Based Physical Therapist - Des Plaines, IL

A contract Physical Therapist opportunity is available working with students from early childhood through 12th grade, providing essential support within a school environment. This role focuses on delivering specialized therapy services to help children develop and maintain mobility, coordination, and physical health during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Location: Des Plaines, IL (in-person) Assignment Dates: June 15, 2026 - July 26, 2026 Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM (First and last days end at 3:15 PM) Responsibilities include: Conducting physical therapy evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for students Implementing therapy sessions focused on building strength, balance, and motor skills Collaborating with educators and other therapists to support student progress Documenting treatment outcomes and maintaining compliance with school policies Participating actively during the ESY program to ensure continuity of care Qualifications: Valid Illinois Physical Therapist license (a screenshot will be required) Experience working as a Physical Therapist in school settings preferred Ability to engage and motivate children from early childhood to high school age Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to providing compassionate, individualized therapy services This contract opportunity offers a focused, impactful role supporting students during the summer months.
