We are seeking motivated individuals like you to help us achieve building excellence. This is a full-time traveling position. The initial assignment will be on a project in Bowling Green, Ohio. Please be aware that the posting location may not reflect the actual project assignment location. All applicants must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time based on project needs. Role Summary The Supervisor will manage and execute complex projects related to intelligent integration. Responsibilities include overseeing Aptitude Intelligent trade partners, planning construction sequencing, and ensuring timely, profitable project completion while aligning with JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values. Autonomy and Decision Making: Make decisions within defined authority limits and consult with supervisors as necessary. Career Path: Progression to Senior Aptitude Supervisor is available. Key Role Responsibilities - Core Teach and model the company’s safety culture and coach others to maintain an injury-free environment through safe installation practices. Review incidents and lead retraining efforts. Instruct on effective client communication related to fiber optic and building technology systems. Guide learners in coordinating design and construction to meet constructability, quality, financial, and technical standards. Train project staff and subcontractors on managing safety, quality, and EEO requirements within technology scopes. Instruct on developing and executing work plans for low voltage and fiber optic installations. Guide on proper care and control of fiber and building technology scopes. Coach on project scheduling for technology installations. Provide education on cost tracking using project management tools. Teach strategies for communication with stakeholders including owners and design teams. Instruct on maintaining project documentation such as drawings and logs. Train on recording and analyzing unit costs and maintaining accurate data. Guide on evaluating self-perform work progress. Provide instruction on managing material and equipment needs for installations. Teach the selection and use of tools needed for technology system installation. Instruct on timekeeping, timecard approval, and cost coding. Coach on coordinating with all trades for proper infrastructure installation. Guide learners in applying quality standards and QA/QC processes. Instruct on project closeout practices and coordination with authorities. Support learners' understanding of their roles during project phases. Train teams in creating and adjusting preplans throughout the project lifecycle. Teach strategies for developing a skilled workforce for technology scopes. Provide guidance on managing schedule impacts of project changes. Coach participants on preparing for project review meetings. Educate on applying contract terms relevant to technology scopes. Promote and teach principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core In addition, this position will entail: Managing projects from start to finish. Overseeing management, scheduling, production, quality, and safety on projects. Identifying and managing project risks. Utilizing experience to recommend solutions to problems. Engaging in project pursuits with the team. Participating in negotiations with owners and architects for project changes. Engaging trade partners as needed. Applying knowledge of Low Voltage Systems in daily operations. Configuring software for testing and troubleshooting as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to perform work accurately and efficiently. Strong understanding of low voltage technology systems. Comprehensive knowledge of Low Voltage Systems Connections. Proficient in project management tools and processes. Intermediate communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to deliver effective presentations. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office. Understanding of construction management fundamentals. Knowledge of divisional low voltage systems. Basic understanding of blueprint drawings. Ability to collaborate and build relationships. Education High School Diploma or GED (Required) Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (Preferred) Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Experience 5+ years construction experience, with emphasis on teaching or mentoring (Required) 5+ years experience with related systems, including fiber and technology, with the ability to train others (Required) 3+ years experience leading or supervising staff (Required) 5+ years experience guiding training on project management principles (Preferred) Working Environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. May require travel or relocation. Exposure to extreme conditions (hot or cold). Availability to work non-traditional hours as needed. Frequent activity including standing, walking, and climbing.
