About the Role Join our Advisory Services team as a Cost Estimator. We seek candidates with experience in construction cost estimating, cost engineering, or related project controls, particularly in the infrastructure and public utilities sectors. Our team serves various clients in water/wastewater, transit, transportation, environmental, and construction management fields. We value strong client relationships and aim to improve the communities we serve. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work remotely or collaborate in a Parametrix office for mentorship and team engagements. You Will: Be a key contributor in a multidisciplinary engineering team as a cost estimator. Assist in developing both conceptual and detailed engineering and construction estimates. Conduct quantity and material takeoffs. Create a Basis of Cost Estimate informed by input from users, owners, and engineering teams. Perform market research to identify cost drivers for materials and labor. Establish and nurture client relationships through participation in workshops, preparing data, questions, and risk-based information to support decision-making. Collaborate with team members and clients across various projects, critical to the success of this role. You Have: At least 4 years of experience in construction management and/or engineering with a focus on cost estimating. 2+ years of experience preparing cost estimates during the planning and design phases of project life cycles. Familiarity with estimating software such as RS Means Online, Blue Beam, Timberline, or HCSS. Working knowledge of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) estimates to compare economic trade-offs. Understanding of CSI MasterFormat and UniFormat classifications. A science-based bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as construction management, engineering, economics, or finance. Compensation Information: The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000+. Compensation is determined by factors like education, experience, location, and role.
