Your Key Responsibilities: Create detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects. Examine project drawings, specifications, and bid documentation thoroughly. Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing evaluations. Source and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Identify risks associated with projects and explore opportunities for value engineering. Collaborate with Project Managers and field leaders before project initiation. Contribute to strategic bidding approaches for our projects. Qualifications We’re Looking For: At least 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction. Preferred familiarity with DOT, municipal, roadway, bridge, grading, or utility projects. Prior experience with mid-to-large civil contractors is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, processes, and cost frameworks. Proficiency in estimating software and digital takeoff tools. Exceptional analytical capabilities and strong communication skills.
