Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Boonville, MO

A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN-MS) to provide skilled care within a fast-paced 32-bed float pool unit. This contract role is based in Boonville, MO, offering a chance to work across multiple specialty areas including cardiology, medicine, orthopedics, surgical, neurology, and oncology. The nurse-to-patient ratio typically ranges from 1:6 and may extend to 1:8 when needed, requiring adaptability and a high level of clinical expertise. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive patient care across various medical-surgical units with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. Utilize clinical skills to manage IV insertions, PICC and central line care, and vascular device access. Deliver specialized care including traction, CPM, epidural/PCA pumps, feeding tubes, and wound vac management. Perform remote telemetry monitoring and interpretation as required. Manage airway support including CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care. Maintain compliance with required clinical documentation and continuing education verification. Flexibly float between units to meet staffing and patient care needs. Qualifications and Experience: Valid RN license with Medical-Surgical experience. Demonstrated competency in IV insertion, line management, remote telemetry, and specialized nursing skills as outlined. Current continuing education unit (CEU) documentation is mandatory. Ability to handle variable nurse-patient ratios up to 1:8. Experience with fast-paced, multitasking environments. Willingness to provide care in diverse specialty areas.
