We are growing, and we need your help! About the Department and Role The Impact Department supports JobTrain’s programs through data management, evaluation research, and IT support services. In terms of data management, our team members design, maintain, and improve the Salesforce data system and performance monitoring tools so our programs can store their data, track their performance, and report their achievements to funders efficiently. We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Administrator to manage and enhance our system, with the goal of improving usability for our programs and development team. A successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and design efficient, workable solutions within the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and Non-Profit Cloud (NPC) environments, ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility. This role also helps shape how JobTrain uses data systems to support program impact and organizational learning. The administrator will work closely with the Impact team to prioritize requests through structured workflows, so improvements are implemented thoughtfully and sustainably. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a remote role. Following a reasonable in-office training period, this position may work a hybrid schedule with a minimum 2-days collaborating with co-workers from our Menlo Park offices. Responsibilities: Conduct business and technical analyses, document user stories, create comprehensive business requirements, and user-centered design documentation Implement customizations and enhancements, such as custom objects, workflow rules, automated actions, process builder, flows, third-party application integration, etc. Manage testing procedures, provide technical support to users, and oversee system issue resolution Handle security settings, user roles, profiles, groups, queues, lists, and other configuration elements Empower users to maintain data integrity through actions like duplicate management, report management, and dashboard development Work with stakeholders and external consultants from project discovery to implementation to redesign the data system as needed Research and identify new technologies for potential integration Deliver onboarding and continuous end-user training and support Following a reasonable training period, this position may work hybrid from our Menlo Park office. Must Have: Salesforce/Technical Qualifications: Must have hands-on experience with the platform. Experience revising or developing the system preferred. Salesforce Administrator certification is a must and 2+ years' experience in a salesforce administrator role Demonstrated experience administering Salesforce in a nonprofit environment using NPSP with case management or service-tracking workflows Highly organized and accountable, with the ability to prioritize competing requests and manage tasks effectively Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of explaining technical matters to non-technical individuals Background in collaborating with diverse teams Knowledge of business systems technology including: Calendly, Form Assembly, Eventbrite, Microsoft365, Zoom. Nice to Have: Prior experience participating in or supporting a migration from NPSP to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC). Strong enthusiasm for technology, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing. Advanced Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform Developer certification preferred Experience with related technologies like Pardot, FinancialForce PSA, Adobe Sign or Docusign, and Cirrus is advantageous.
